The Khmer Christian Counselor Association (KCCA) welcomes individuals who share a commitment to ethical practice, spiritual growth, and the development of Christian counseling in Cambodia. Members agree to uphold the ethical, professional, and spiritual standards of the Association.
Membership Types
KCCA offers several membership categories to reflect the diversity of those serving in counseling and care ministries:
– Full Members
Full Membership is designed for individuals who are actively practicing or formally trained in counseling or pastoral care. Eligible groups include:
• Professional counselors
• Lay counselors
• Pastors / pastoral counselors
• Supervisors
• Youth workers
• Missionaries
• Cambodian citizens serving in counseling-related roles
Requirements:
• Must Be Cambodian Christian
• Must pay the full annual membership fee (“Annual standard fee: $20 = 80,000 Riel”)
• Must agree to uphold KCCA’s ethical and spiritual standards
Rights and Privileges:
• Voting rights in leadership elections
• Eligibility to be elected into leadership roles
• Access to all KCCA events, trainings, and resources
– Student Members
Student Membership is for individuals currently enrolled in counseling, psychology, pastoral care, or related training programs.
Requirements:
• Must pay 50% of the standard membership fee
• Must be actively studying in a relevant field
Rights and Privileges:
• May attend KCCA events and trainings
• May participate in learning opportunities and community activities
Limitations:
• No voting rights
• Cannot be elected to leadership positions
– Associate Members
Associate Membership is designated for expatriates serving in Cambodia who are engaged in counseling or mental health work. It is intended for individuals who support the mission of KCCA but do not meet the requirements for Full Membership.
Requirements:
• Must pay 70% of the standard membership fee
Rights and Privileges:
• May attend KCCA events, workshops, and trainings
Limitations:
• No voting rights
• Cannot be elected to leadership roles
Membership Fees
• Full Membership: $20 (80,000 Riel) per year
• Student Membership: 50% of the standard fee
• Associate Membership: 70% of the standard fee
Membership Timeline and Renewal
Membership is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. Membership is automatically terminated after three months, no payment fee or no informing of the extension to KCCA.
Renewal Expectations
• Members are encouraged to renew on time to maintain active status
• Members should notify KCCA if they need an extension or special consideration
Membership Termination
Membership may be terminated under the following conditions:
• Failure to pay membership fees within three months of the renewal date
• No communication with KCCA regarding renewal or extension
• Inability to reach the member for an extended period
• Failure to uphold KCCA’s ethical or spiritual standards (as determined by the leadership team)
Members who wish to rejoin after termination may reapply according to current membership requirements.

• Contribute to a culture of respect, unity, and professional growth
